Most tape measures start a 0, this one starts at 4.8 cm, ie the distance between where the tape comes out and the socket where you can lock in the end of the tape. The reverse side has the 0 starting at 6 cm from the start of the tape. A bit weird but it works.
Replaces my 20yr old tape measure and works well for heads and tummies, thank you
